About Assam Bengal Navigation (ABN)

The Indo-British joint-venture company, Assam Bengal Navigation (ABN), was formed in 2002. With four cruise ships and a houseboat, ABN is the most experienced operator on Indian rivers. ABN commenced cruises on the Brahmaputra in 2003 and on the Ganges in 2007. On Brahmaputra cruises, guests get to experience wildlife viewing, village walks, visits to tea gardens, exploring country towns in cycle rickshaws, barbecues on deserted river islands, dance performances, and visits to craft workshops. There is no better way to experience Assam’s rich culture and history.

Notes

  • All river cruise itineraries are subject to river and weather conditions. We may need to re-plan the itinerary and it may require certain cost adjustments.
  • To operate this journey, we will need a minimum booking of 20 full-paying passengers.
  • We are limited to daylight hours (The winter sun sets at 16:00hrs), winter fog and the flow of the heavy underlying currents of this river.
  • All guests are required to carry their double vaccination certificates.

Cancellation Policy

  • At the time of booking, the entire cost will be payable.
  • If the booking is cancelled within 6 weeks of departure, the cancellation charges will be 100% of the total cost.

 

About ABN Sukapha

ABN Sukapha is deliberately intimate in size with 12 cabins, all of which are located on the upper deck of the ship. The maximum group size on board ABN Sukapha is 24 guests. All cabins have en suites with W.C., French balconies, individual climate control, and storage space. The décor is fresh and stylish, featuring handlooms, bamboo panelling, and locally made cane and rattan furniture.
