With World Environment Day on June 05 and World Ocean Day on June 08, this was a fitting month to promote the Environmentally Friendly Cruises introduced by the world’s leading cruise lines. Many cruise lines are designing some of their new ships to run Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) which is more environmentally friendly as its one of cleanest burning marine fuels. LNG fuel helps reduce a cruise ship’s carbon emission by approximately 30% and largely eliminates particulate matter from the ship’s exhaust. There are over 20 cruise ships in operation that run on the cleaner LNG and we have featured some of them here.
